سورۂ ملک اور سورۂ یٰسین کی فضیلت
Surah Mulk aur Surah Yaseen ki fazilat are shared widely, but not every saying about them is authentic. Here is what is established, what is weak, and the best time to read each, with every reference linked.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "A surah of the Quran containing thirty verses will intercede for its reader until he is forgiven: Tabarakalladhi biyadihil-mulk" (Sunan Abu Dawud 1400, graded hasan; also Sunan Ibn Majah 3786).
The narration that the Prophet ﷺ would not sleep until he had recited Alif Lam Mim Tanzil (As-Sajdah) and Surah Al-Mulk is in Jami at-Tirmidhi 2892, where it is graded weak; still, reading it before sleep is a widespread and good practice.
When to read: every night, after Isha or before sleeping. It takes about 5 minutes. Read Surah Mulk with Urdu translation →
Surah Yaseen is one of the most recited surahs, read for the sick, the dying and the deceased, and in gatherings. However:
That does not reduce the surah: every letter of the Quran carries reward, and Yaseen's message about resurrection, the signs of Allah and the life to come is powerful. Read it for that. Read Surah Yaseen with Urdu translation →
